Obituary Condolences

Eula N. King (nee Fry) passed away peacefully, at the age of 83, on December 24th. with her son Bob and her husband of 62 years, John, by her side. She was born in Kenmore, Ohio and was a lifelong Akron area resident.

She was the architect and landscape designer of all the family homes. She had the hands of an artist and the green thumbs of a master gardener. She was an art teacher for the Akron Public School system and maintained an art studio well into her retirement. She loved sharing her artwork and her treasured daylilies and hostas with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steve and her brother, Carl. Survived by her husband, John E. King; sons, John B. King of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jim King of Akron, Bob King of Spaulding, Calif.; brothers, Jim Fry of Yukon, Okla., John Fry of Akron; and the joy of her life, granddaughters, Melissa King of Scottsdale, Arizona and Jessica King of Herndon, Va.

The family would like to thank Summa Home Hospice Services of Akron for making the last few weeks of her life comfortable.

She will be interred at the Ohio National Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, with a celebration of her life gathering at the family home immediately following. In lieu of flowers, we ask friends and family to stop by the King home in the summer to take hostas, daylilies and other plants from Eula's garden to transplant into their own garden, so that they will always have something to remember her by.
