A remarkable woman has gone today. We were the luckiest kids in the world to have had you for our mother. You would have had to know her, it is the way mom saw life; lived in the moment, whether making spaghetti for her family, planting her garden or enjoying a glass of dry white wine with us. God knows you really loved summer on the lake. You have always been our rock and lived for your family every day, always.
The values you taught weren't found in books but they were lessons for living and will never be forgotten. You gave your children strength, you gave us unconditional love (God, that must have been hard sometimes). You gave us the discipline and guidance needed to make it in the world. I hope we have lived up to your quiet expectations and you see a reflection of yourself in all of us. We now would like to say to you one last time, thank you.
Mom, until this past March when your strength began to waiver we never realized the tremendous influence you had made on our lives. None of us could remember a time when you needed help from anyone. Sadly, when you needed our help the most there wasn't any more we could do. For all you had given us, today we stand feeling simply empty. Selfish? Yeah
Yet, while we know you are in a better place, we miss you already and ALWAYS will.
Mom was preceded in death by her mother and father, Joseph and Elizabeth Hromco; her brother, Ray; and our father, Jacob Fryer. She is survived by her sister, Margie Pyndus of San Antonio, Texas; her loving children, Karen Kress, of Clinton, Jim Fryer of Louisville, Kentucky and Mark (Ellen) Fryer of the Portage Lakes; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
At mom's request, a private memorial is scheduled for her children and immediate family followed by a brief graveside service open to all where she will join our father once again.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in mom's name to Summa Health System, Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St, P.O. Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398-6153.
Our family would like to thank mom's angels, Beth, Cindy, Debbie, Juanita, Julia, Katie, Lisa, Liz, Melody, and Nicki. Without your help, your knowledge and your strength, we would not have been able to keep mom at home. God holds a special place for you in his heart.
