Allan Victor Bonin Obituary
Allan Victor Bonin passed away January 17, 2013 in Akron. He was born January 10, 1931 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mr. Bonin attended Brooklyn College where he majored in Business. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1952 to 1954 as a pilot. Afterward, Mr. Bonin worked various functions in a 37 year career in investment services. Most of this time was spent at Oppenheimer and Co. where he rose to the status of Vice President of Operations. Mr. Bonin retired from Oppenheimer in 1991 after 27 years there, at which time he relocated to Akron.

In his spare time, Mr. Bonin volunteered as a tour guide at Stan Hywet Hall for 16 years. He also volunteered at the Inventor's Hall of Fame and Akron's Radio Reading Service for the Blind.

Mr. Bonin was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ida Bonin and wife, Beverly Bonin. He is survived by his sons, Robert Bonin and Donald Bonin, both of Akron, and Jay Bonin of Ridgewood, N.Y.

Cremation has taken place. The ashes will be interred at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio at a future date.
