Arthur T. Romito, 67, passed away on Friday, April 5th, 2013, due to an inoperable brain tumor. |
Born in Akron on November 1, 1945, he resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of his life. He graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School and the University of Akron with a degree in Finance. At the university, he became a member of the Lone Star Fraternity, making many life-long friends. Arthur served in the U.S. Army and after his honorable discharge, he was employed with the family business, Romito Bros. Electrical Construction Co. He was a member of the Akron YMCA where he enjoyed playing racquetball. He loved sports and with friends attended many Olympic Games.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Tommasina Romito; brother, Edmumd D. Romito; brother-in-law, Joseph Bellassai; he is survived by his sister, Mary Bellassai; sister-in-law, Marianne Romito; 14 nephews and nieces and girlfriend, Donna Gran.
Calling hours will be Sunday, April 7, from 3 to 5 at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., April 8 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Father James Singler celebrating. Entombment at Northlawn Mausoleum where the American Legion Post 281 will conduct military services.
