Obituary Condolences

Bessie Lee Cogar, 76, of Sutton, formerly of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Braxton County Health Care Center where she resided.

She was born in Birch River on February 24, 1936 a daughter to the late Harry and Vena Crites Bragg. She was a Baptist and a member of the First Baptist Church of Kenmore, Akron, Ohio. She retired from Teamsters Local 507 where she was a machine operator.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Sheila Faye; brothers, Don and Danny Bragg of Akron, Ohio. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lowery and husband Kevin of Akron, Ohio; granddaughter, Dawn Marie Page of Ohio; sisters, Rosalene Rittenour of Harker Heights, Texas, Anna Faye Mollohan of Little Birch, W. Va., and Carol Bragg of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Bessie's legacy to her family and friends is that of a courageous disciple for Jesus Christ. She witnessed tirelessly to those she came in contact with wanting everyone she met to come to a saving knowledge of her Lord.

Funeral service for Bessie will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Stockert-Sizemore Funeral Home, Flatwoods, W. Va., with the Reverend Rick Fox officiating. Burial will follow the service in Braxton County Cemetery, Sutton, W. Va. Stockert-Sizemore Funeral Home, Flatwoods, W. Va., is in charge of arrangements.
