Bonnie "Nana" King|
Bonnie "Nana" King, 87, passed away on July 18, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was raised in Green, Ohio where she met and married her high school sweetheart and lifelong husband, Robert "Bob" King in 1946.
Together Bob and Bonnie raised their family in Portage Lakes, Ohio where she was a long time member of Lockwood United Methodist Church, an active choir participant and soloist, as well as a former director of the children's cherub choir. She was an avid gardener, chocolate lover, and petite fun loving woman who never stopped singing. Together the Kings built and developed King Coach House Estates in Marblehead, Ohio. She adored and loved her family above all. Please join us as we honor the memory of Bonnie "Nana".
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Glenn and Mary Hunter; and brother, Duane.
She leaves to cherish her memory children, Ken (Pat) King, Debby Supina, Connie (John) Kriston; grandchildren, Tracy (Gary) Phares, Karen (Brian) Campbell, Ryan King, Kristen (Steve) Heckman, Sara (Jason) Miller, Abby Kriston, Kevin (Serena) Kriston and Michelle Kriston; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Carley and Kennedy Young, Owen Phares, Kayden and Coleman Campbell, Elizabeth and Kyriella Miller, Anaya Heckman, Seth and Cody Kriston, Jordon and Wesley Kriston, Jeremy Settles, Logan and Kayson Beavers.
Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, Ohio on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Dale Gharky officiating. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
