Margaret was active in the Parent Teachers Association at Silver Lake School, the local garden club and the Martha Mary Guild of the Church in Silver Lake, where she and Carlin were members since its' founding in the mid 1940's. Following the passing of her husband, after 60 years of marriage in 2006, declining health required increased nursing support in recent years.
