NORTON -- Dale O. Graves, 91, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013.|
A life resident of the Barberton/Norton area, he was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, where he received a Purple Heart. Dale retired from Rockwell and attended the Barberton Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of Barberton Moose #759, VFW Post #8975 and the Barberton Liedertafel.
Preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Marie (3/14/2012); parents, Walter and Belle Graves; five brothers, one sister; and one granddaughter; Dale is survived by his sons, Dale (Jean) of Texas, Dennis (Diane) of Akron, Robert (Marlene) of Arizona and Gregory of Canal Fulton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral service Friday, 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203, with Pastor Joe Frank officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors by Firestone Memorial Post #449. Calling hours Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m.
