David Adam Burkett "Goob"

David Adam Burkett "Goob", 36, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on St. Patrick's day.

He was a member of Akron Free Will Baptist Church.

He loved traveling and enjoyed all types of sports, especially baseball. He graduated from Central Hower High School in 1995 were he was listed in the Who's Who of High School baseball. David was very instrumental in the return of Archie the snow man.

He is survived by loving wife, Nicole; daughter, Madeline, whom with he enjoyed special "Maddie Time"; parents, Karen (Ron) Carver, David E. (Jackie) Burkett, brother, David Schweyer; mother and father-in-law, Deanna and Mike Hatfield; brother-in-law, Michael Hatfield; sister-in-law, Natalie; many loving cousins and dog Gilmore. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Elson and Lena Burkett and Clinton and Janet Murray; uncle and aunt, Steve and Brenda Uhl; and good friend Ben Morgan.

With his love of life and the Lord he accomplished his life goals of being a business owner, husband and father.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd., Pastor Ron Carver officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received Friday, March 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Rt. 619). In lieu of flowers, if so desired, contributions may be made to the David A. Burkett Bereavement Fund in care of any Huntington Bank.
