BARBERTON -- Donald E. Williams, 73, passed away April 20, 2012 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.
He was born in Barberton and was a life resident of the Barberton-Norton area. Donald was employed with P.P.G. Chemical Co. for 18 years. as a boiler maker, then with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. as a machine repairman for 30 yrs., retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Barberton Moose Lodge #759 and the Canton Eagles, he was an avid ham radio operator, loved spending time with his family, building and working on computers, gardening, going for long drives and just being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth; son, Donald"Bud" (Guyla) Williams of Norton; daughters, Terri (Guy) Guiser of Norton, Kathleen Henry of Medina, Michelle (Kyle) Witner of Clinton, Cindy (Rick) Penta and Susan (Harry) Palmer both of Barberton; grandchildren, Kristie, John, Chelsea, Bryan, Anna, Sarah and Jeffrey; great-grandson, Zach; sisters, Jean Lapolla and Dianne Williams and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 11 a.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Monday 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials are requested to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Copley, Ohio 44321 or the St. Augustine Endowment Fund.
