Dudley K. Moses, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 7, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Dr. Dorothy C. Moses, who died in 2005. He is survived by two sons and their families, Thomas Moses and Clare of Bolton, Mass., and Peter Moses and Megumi of Wolfeboro, N.H.; three grandsons, Ethan, Timothy, and Andy Moses; and his favorite granddaughter, Abigail Moses.

Dudley was born in New Brunswick, N.J., to the late Harold and Mildred (Chase) Moses. He achieved his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Bates College in 1957 and later, his Master's degree in Microbiology. He served our nation in the U.S. Army after which, he began a long and successful career as a Research Chemist for PPG Industries in Barberton. Considered an expert in herbicides, pesticides and water treatment, Dudley remained active as an environmental consultant throughout his years of retirement. With a great passion in life for music, Dudley auditioned for the NY Metropolitan Opera and later performed with the Akron Symphony Chorus, Canton Men's Choir and the Stow Chorus. Dudley's brilliant mind and intellect were matched with a positive spirit that endeared him to people of all ages. He will be forever missed and remembered lovingly by family and friends.
