AKRON -- Edward J. Domanick, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2011.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joan; son, Gary (Becky); son, Jeff; grandchildren, Sarah, Jared, Debbie and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his darling daughter, Jeannie and brothers, John and Charlie.
A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at The Chapel (in the Memorial Chapel), 135 Fir Hill, Akron, with Lynn Warner officiating. A family interment will take place in the Veteran's Memorial Section of Copley Township Cemetery, where Copley V.F.W. Post 7971 and American Legion Post 473 will be leading military honors prior to the funeral. Family will receive friends at the Hummel Funeral Home, COPLEY, 3475 Copley Rd., TODAY from 4 to 8 p.m. Please sign the guestbook at www.hummelcares.com.

Dear Gary; Linda and I just found out about your dad's passing. You have our deepest sympathy and prayers. I always looked forward to seeing your dad and shooting the breeze at any function he was at.
