Elizabeth Grace Fiorella Obituary
Elizabeth Grace Fiorella passed away suddenly Wednesday after a long illness.

She was born in Akron on February 14, 1984 and she came out running with a brilliant mind that allowed her to read fluently at age four and an insatiable need to explore. She attended St. Paul's Grade school in Akron, Green High School, and started college at 16, a graduate of Kent State University. Most recently she attended UNLV in pursuit of her Master's degree in Education and Mathematics. She was a wonderful teacher at Barberton High School and Chapparal High School in Las Vegas, where she resisted opportunities to teach at more affluent schools to help make a difference for less privileged kids. She was an avid poker player and Cleveland sports fan who ended a relationship with a guy who couldn't understand how she could expect Lebron James to pick a city like Cleveland over Miami. She had her adventure in Las Vegas, making many friends, many loves, tearing up the club circuit on the Strip, and many ill-advised weekend road trips to Hermosa Beach and Santa Barbara with her friends. But she made a point to call home to her family every day. She packed 70 years of living into 28 years, and Heaven must have needed a little spiced up for God to take her so soon.

Most of all, she'll be remembered for her kind heart and spirit. She always was focused on those around her having a good time and being happy. She will be so missed by so many.

The family wants to thank Rich, Jenna, Mike, Autum and others for the wonderful memorial service they orchestrated in Las Vegas, and Dr. Samuel Esparza, Dr. Alan Ikeda and the staff at Sunrise Hospital Oncology. We love you.

She is survived by her parents, William and Dorothy Fiorella of Akron; brothers, Joseph and Nick; grandmother, Delores Whisler of Tallmadge; and many aunts, unless, cousins and close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church (750 S. Main) followed by inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Please visit Elizabeth's Book of Memories at www.dunn-quigley.com to leave condolences.
