Giovannino Vincenzino "Nino" Carlini Obituary
Giovannino ``Nino' Vincenzino Carlini, born 29 July 1932 in Carovilli, Italy, entered eternal life 9 May 2011 in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.

Nino died in the home of his daughter, Marisa, having been attended by his children, sisters, sisters- in-law, brother-in-law and other family to provide comfort and solice in his final days.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalie Anna Gumpl-Carlini on 6 August, 2010. He is survived by his children, Giuliano (Susan), Marisa and Marcella (Jim); grandchildren, Nicholas, Marcus, Mia, Matteo and Nico; sisters, Lina (Paolo), Elsa (Bruno) and Anna (Bill); sisters-in-law, Joanne and Concetta; near a score of nieces and nephews; and a multitude of their children.

Nino came to the United States in 1955, became a U.S. Citizen but remained 100% Italian. He loved Italy and all things Italian! He would return to Italy as often as possible. He served in the armed forces of both Italy and the United States. He learned the art of tailoring in Carovilli and brought his craft to America. He worked for Yeagers in Akron, then Silverwoods in California, and eventually became head of tailoring for the western United States for Hart, Schaffner and Marx. He appreciated fine clothes his entire life and in all things appreciated when they were not only done, but done well and with elegance. Nino loved to be with family and friends, whether just one or two, or a large party. He loved to be with them eating and drinking, singing and playing the guitar, playing scopa or canasta, or just sitting and talking.
