Harriet E. Neider

Harriet E. Neider, 80, went home to be with her Lord on June 2, 2009.

She was born in Summit County, Bath Township, July 10, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Florence Neider. She was a resident of Akron most of her life until moving to the Carroll Court Apartments in 2003 to be near her brother and his family. She graduated from Bath High School in 1946 and Actual business College in 1947. Harriet was employed at the John Petrou Insurance Agency and the Evans Agency in Akron. During her retirement years she worked at First Merit Bank in Akron.

Harriet was a member of The Chapel in Akron where she was a devoted choir member for 25 years and did visitation with the Harvesters. She was also affiliated with the Women's Auxiliary of Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron. She was currently a member of the Carrollton Bible Chapel.

She is survived by one brother, Edmond (Ruth) Neider of Carrollton; four nieces, Deborah (Michael) Dingess of Carrollton, Connie (Rodney) Days of Carrollton, Linda (Arthur) Plourde of Bucksport, Maine, Marjorie Johnson of Indianapolis, Ind.; one nephew, John (Elizabeth) Neider of Carrollton; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Neider of East Orland, Maine; numerous great-nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Neider.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 12 p.m. in the Carrollton Bible Chapel, with Pastor Barry Koenitzer officiating. A graveside service will be Monday, June 8 at 11 a.m. in the Rose Hill Burial Park of Montrose, Ohio. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
