Bud Black, 77, went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2010.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life and the mother of his children, Ina Mae Black. Also preceding him in death is his mother, Florence Wolfe and father, Hubert Black; second wife, Janet Black and step son, Richard Lusk. He is survived by special daughters, Tammy and Becky Black; sons, Bryan and Mark Black; very special friend and caregiver, Danielle Rey; special friend who was like a son to Bud, Bill Miller; also very close to Bud was Debra and Danny. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Medlock, Carol (Richard) Siers and Sandy Warner; brother, Richard (Brenda) Wolfe; stepchildren, Carl Lusk and Kathy Guthrie and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bud served in the United States Army and the United States Marine Reserves. He retired from Goodyear and his memberships include the Masonic Order, VFW Post 7971, Portage Lake Eagles 2736, American Legion Post 209, Moose Lodge 1082 and the Army-Navy. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Bud was a very quiet and giving man who would do anything for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed and loved by all.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment to follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
