Jack J. Ryan Obituary
Jack J. Ryan, 74 years of Firestone Park, went home to be with the Lord October 5, 2012. A native of Orange, N.J.,

Jack served his country in The U.S.M.C. and was serving as a Veterans Service Commissioner. He was a member of Firestone Park United Methodist Church, The Hibernians, and the Army-Navy Garrison 250. Jack was Past Commander of Firestone Memorial Post #449 American Legion, and Captain of their Honor Guard. A former Veteran of the Year, Jack was Past Commander of Summit County Council American Legion, and Past Commander 14th District American Legion.

Preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Kennedy Ryan; he is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne; children from his first marriage, son, Michael; daughter, Shannon; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Blvd. and 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the church. Funeral service 11 a.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012, at the Firestone Park U. M. Church, 250 N. Firestone Blvd. with Rev. Max Beery officiating. Entombment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where Firestone Memorial Post #449 will render military honors. For those that wish memorial contributions may be made to Firestone Post #449 or The Wounded Warriors.
