James F. Buchanan Obituary
James F. Buchanan, 64, passed away March 15, 2013.

He was born in Akron to the late Hollis and Violet (Hillyer), was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the Plain Dealer.

James was also very active in the community. He was a member of the Wayfarer Masonic Lodge # 789 and the Life Spring Christian Church, and was a long-time baseball coach for the Ellet Athletic Association. He enjoyed working as a skilled mechanic and was extremely generous in helping others.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Dick and sister, Patty, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon; children, James (Shannon) and Daniel; grandchildren, Shane, Stephen and Bailey Jones and Jimmy Buchanan; and many other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Terrence Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park where military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 281. Calling hours will be on Monday, March 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic service at 6 p.m. by the Wayfarer Lodge # 789.
