To the Bowersox family: I feel as though I have lost two of my best friends, Mark and now Jeff. I have been friends with both of them since childhood and my heart is heavy with grief because of their untimely deaths.
Jeff was one of the nicest people I have ever known....he wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone or anything. I will really miss him.

Dear Carole,
I didn't know Jeff very well at all. I just read about his death in the Beacon Journal and it is strange, for some reason, I was thinking of you this past weekend. But if I would have seen him on the street, I don't think I would have known him. I'm very sad about that but more importantly, I'm so very sorry to hear about his death. My mom (Janet) always speaks so highly of you and your sons; I know that you were a good mom and he was special to you. Being a mother myself now (I have two daughters: Corinne 6, and Chloe, soon to be 4) I can't even fathom losing one of them: even as adults.
This has been a very traumatic year for you with the loss of Mark as well..
As much as family can stick together in these hectic times we live in, know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Lovingly,

Carol, Dick, children and grandchildren: I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jeff. He was just a baby when you moved into the neighborhood and although I have not seen him for a few years, I feel a great loss from his passing. You are all in my prayers.
