BARBERTON -- John Kohler, age 42, passed away January 3, 2014.
He was born August 11, 1971 in Barberton, Ohio. John was preceded in death by father, Harold ("Butch") Kohler; stepfather, Russel Greathouse; children, Ashley Carpenter and David (Carpenter) Kohler; and grandparents, Roy Millhoff, Juanita Millhoff, Harold Kohler, and Ruth Kohler.
He is survived by mother, Edith (Kohler) Greathouse; stepfather, Jim Mitchell; stepmother, Joanne Kohler; son, Russel Kohler; siblings, David Kohler, Terri Carningham, Steve Greathouse, James & Denise Greathouse, Jimmy Mitchell Jr., Josh Mitchell, Judy James,Vicki Patterson, Chuck James, and Susy Blevins; as well as numerous family and friends.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 7 p.m. at Victory Chapel, 32 W Bellisle Dr., Akron, OH 44319 with Pastor Bobby Webb officiating. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at Victory Chapel.
