John V. Adams Obituary
John V. Adams, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 11, 2009.

Jack was a loving husband, dad, grandpa (papa) and friend who was devoted to his family. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

He was born on October 9, 1919 and lived his entire life in the Akron and Cuyahoga Falls area. Jack graduated from East High School in 1938 and attended Buchtel University. He retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 43 years of service.

Jack was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, especially at the Outer Banks in North Carolina and watching NASCAR racing.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Adams; brother, Joseph Adams; granddaughters, Shannon and Stephanie McCulley; and son-in-law, Glenn Kennedy. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret (Peg) Adams; daughters, Mary Kennedy and Julie McCulley; son and daughter-in-law, John (Ric) and Kathy Adams; grandchildren, Kathy and Jim Jamieson, Lynn and Brad Molen, John and Isabel Adams; great-grandchildren, Noah, Kaitlin and Sabrina Wilfred, Jack, Margaret, Will and Sam Molen; sisters, Beatrice Tarmichael, Mary Patrick and Ruth Quillin; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Thomas and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Visitation of Mary Catholic Church (formerly Annunciation Church), 55 Broad St., Akron, on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 11 a.m., with Fr. Paul Rosing officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no calling hours per Jack's request. The family expresses special thanks to the Cuyahoga Falls Paramedics and the staff at Akron General Hospital for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visitation of Mary Catholic Church Soup Kitchen and the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department. ADAMS MASON,
