THEN AND NOW

Larry (Rat) Radcliff, 70, formerly of Akron, passed away suddenly June 7, 2018 in Belleville, Mich.

Attending both Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, Okla. and Eastern Michigan Univeristy, Ypsilanti, Mich., as a star running back he set and retain national records in rushing. He was later drafted by the NFL, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Wheels, World Football League. He was inducted in East High School Hall of Fame, Eastern Michigan and Summit County Athletic Hall of Fame.

He retired from Washtenaw Sherriff's Department. He enjoyed volunteering during the summer at Camp Cedine in Spring City, Tenn.

Preceded in death by parents, Nathaniel and Louise Ratcliff, he leaves his loving wife, Jacqueline; children, Erica, Sheldon, Terence, Steven, Kaila and grandson, Roman; sisters, Laura Terry, and Glenda (Clarence) Edmonds; brothers, Lafayette (Sandra), Danny (Cheryl); a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Services 11 a.m. June 16, with calling hour beginning at 10 a.m., at Bethlehem Temple of Praise, 3789 Venoy Road, Wayne, Mich. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Camp Cedine, 333 Cedine Rd., Spring City, TN 37381.
