Lillian Mae Thomas Obituary
Lillian Mae Thomas went to her heavenly father on October 6, 2012.

She was born February 23, 1926 to Henry and Rosalee Matthews in Barkley, Pennsylvania. She retired in 1991 from Akron City Hospital after 25 years of service. She was a member of Livingstone Apostolic Church in Akron, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Florence Matthews; daughters, Sandra and Juanita; brothers, David and Grady Matthews; sisters, Betty Lawrence and Emma Lou Flowers; and great-granddaughter, Shaynese Sykes. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Jerry Johnson, Willie (LaNina) Johnson; granddaughters, Alicia (Eldred) Ingram, Geraldine (Willie) Sykes, Antoninette Allen, Carmen Walker, Sherie (Mack) McLean), Tammy (Prophecy) Dorsey, Gena (James) Radabaugh, Shamyia Johnson; grandsons, Dale Johnson, Chet Walker, Michael Spragling, Jerome Spragling, and Jerry Johnson, Jr.; sisters, Geralene (James) McGowan, Ella Mae Carrington, Ruth Cole; sister-in-law, Mary Matthews; and brothers, Charles, Herman (Shirley), Raymond (Alverna), and John Henry; 32 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other reatives and friends; special friend, Ira Lee; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Dean-Thomas.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 12 noon at J.E. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME, 1158 S. Arlington St., Akron, Ohio. Friends may visit at 11 a.m. until time of service. Special thanks to the caregivers from Community Care and Priority Home Health Care and Summa Care Medical and Hospice staff.
