Loretta R. Lewis (Scott) went home to be the Lord October 3, 2012.|
She was born May 18, 1959, in Akron, Ohio, to Willie and Doris Scott. Her father, Willie Lee Scott, Sr., preceded her in death. She was a member of Sanctuary of Worship, and she praised God for blessing her to be able to Usher in the house of the Lord. During her working years, she worked as a Health Aide and also worked at GoJo.
Loretta leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Lee Lewis; mother, Evang. Doris Scott; her children, Donteae, Danielle, Deidre, and Kenny; siblings, Richard Gamble (Paulette), Rev. Larry Scott (Flora), Willie Scott, Jr.; sisters, Constance McDaniel-Heflin, Evang. Jacqueline Scott, Desiree Reynolds (Calvin); grandchildren whom she adored, Mikayla, Tylaja, Derreke, London, Kenneth, III, and Lyric; sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Howard, Barbara Gibson (James-deceased), Beverly Evans (Billy), Brenda Lewis (deceased), Delfreda Lewis, Shirley Thompson (Gary). and host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 11 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. homegoing service at Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, 1430 Goodyear Blvd., Akron. Procession will form at 686 Talbot Avenue and condolences may be sent to 641 Dorchester Road, Akron, OH 44320.
