Madelyn A. Ellinger "Great Granny"|
TALLMADGE -- Madelyn A Ellinger, 87, passed away October 1, 2013.
Born in Akron, Ohio, Madelyn had lived in the Akron-Tallmadge areas all her life. She retired from the Medical Records Department at Akron Children's Hospital, prior to medical records Madelyn managed the Snack Shop at Children's Hospital and was hostess at McDonald's in the valley. Madelyn was a member of IOOF and VFW Auxiliary Firestone Post.
Madelyn will be missed dearly by her family and friends. We love you Great Granny and will hold you in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann and Norma.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna J. Kilmire and Beverly A. Ellinger both of Tallmadge; son, George "Skip" (Janet) Ellinger of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann (Mike) Odem, Kelly Ann (Rob) Ellinger, Cindy Nadine (Andy) Mesko, and Tish Marie Denny; great-grandchildren, Turner A. Mesko, Hanna M. Mesko, and Kolton Alexander Fankhauser, Spencer Odem and Alexa Odem and the Coleman families.
A special thanks to her care giver Marie Masturzo.
A graveside service will be at the convenience of the family at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael A. Matusz officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333
