Marguerite Dujanovic (Holben)|
Marguerite Dujanovic (Holben), 70, born on May 20, 1943 went to her eternal resting place on September 26, 2013 at Summa Palliative Care.
She was preceded in death by parents, George and Mary Dujanovic; sisters, Elizabeth, Diane Marie, and Bernadette.
She grew up in Barberton, Ohio and graduated from Divine Redeemer Academy in Elizabeth, Pa., and went to St. John's College in Cleveland, Ohio and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. After her marriage to Ronald Holben, a U.S. Army Veteran, they were blessed with a son Michael, who at the age of 12 lost his dad, who was 35 years of age.
Marguerite's love for children radiated in her teaching of upper grade students in Pennsylvania and Ohio schools. She was active as a full time teacher, assistant principal, Eucharistic minister, and planned many student liturgies.
She is sadly missed by all. Marguerite is survived by her brothers, George (Barbara), Francis (Ann); sister, Sister Mary Ann, a Sister of Divine Redeemer in Elizabeth, Pa.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, dear friend, Regina; and Gidget, her dog.
There should be a special thanks to the Palliative Care unit at Summa, especially to all the wonderful, compassionate nurses and doctors.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Road Akron, OH 44319 officiated by Father Robert Jackson of Price of Peace Catholic Church.
