Mildred Elizabeth Hawk Obituary
Mildred (Mil) Elizabeth Hawk

WADSWORTH -- Mildred (Mil) Elizabeth Hawk passed peacefully into her Savior's arms on September 7th, 2018. Mil's parents, Martin E Shultz and E Clara Meincke celebrated her birth on September 30th, 1935 in Davenport, Iowa. Mil lived in Wadsworth, Ohio with her husband, Gene, and they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on September 15, 2018.

Mil was a homemaker and had a passion for painting, crocheting, photography, cooking, baking, tweaking recipes and celebrating people in special ways. Mil loved unconditionally and instilled that gift in everyone she touched. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We all know that our hearts are broken because we were loved so immensely.

Mil attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Smithville and enjoyed serving through their Young at Heart group, MAPS mission and her amazing greeting card outreach to family and friends.

Other than her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her brothers, Martin Shultz, Nelson Shultz and Don Files; her sister, Gloria Michaels; her great-grandson, Conner Weaver and son-in-law, Ken Icenhower.

Mil is survived by her husband, Gene Hawk of Wadsworth; brother, Gene (Jan) Files of Norton; sons, Mike (Jennifer) Hawk of Missouri, Tom Butdorf of Florida, Scott Hawk of Wadsworth; daughters, Stacy Weaver of Wadsworth, Wendy (Rick) St. Clair of Rittman; many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 17 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7605 E Pleasant Home Rd., Smithville, OH 44677. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m. Please join us for a luncheon directly after the service, at the church. The committal service will take place at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 9560 Acme Rd., Seville, OH 44273.

Thank you, Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home for taking care of our family as if we were a part of yours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mildred's favorite place to be, outside of home, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 426, Smithville, OH 44677
