Mitzi Jean Carey Obituary
Mitzi Jean

(Rowland) Carey

Mitzi Jean (Rowland) Carey, 84, of Hartville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 4, 2018.

She was born on September 18, 1933 to Dana and Helen Rowland of Akron, Ohio.

She will be greatly missed by her family: children, Yvonne (Bob) Howell, David (Valerie) Carey, Dana (Ruth) Carey; her grandchildren, Aaron (Anna) Carey and Abbey (Jeremy) Jagger; and her great grandchild, Declan Carey; sister, Anita Mann; stepgrandchildren, Zach (Michaela) King and Rachelle (Ryan) Betz and their sons Levi and Zane. She was preceded in death by Bill, her loving husband of 66 years.

Mitzi was a loving servant who always had an open door to her home and a meal on the table for anyone who dropped in. Her life was devoted to loving and caring for her family and others.

The family would like to warmly thank the pastoral staff of Evermore Church and Alex for their support and many visits to mom and our family during her long journey home. We also appreciate the loving and caring staff of Summa's Acute Palliative Care and Hospice Unit.

Visitation at the Evermore Community Church in Hartville on Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, 10 to 11 a.m, September 10-11. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastors Jonathan Carey and Ross Miller officiating. Burial at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mitzi's favorite ministry, a 501 (c) (3) organization, which does building, humanitarian, and outreach work in Nicaragua: Siete Sur Ministries Inc., 33 West Dr., Hartville, OH 44632. Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 330-699-2600.
