Nancy Friedt Hachat

WADSWORTH -- Nancy Friedt Hachat, age 67, passed away August 28, 2013 and is now singing with the angels on our Lord's Praise Team.

She was born on October 21, 1945 in Johnstown, Pa. Nancy accomplished great feats in life without needing special recognition. She had a long-time career as a registered nurse and was also a real estate agent in the Wadsworth area. She was very active in several ministries at the First Christian Church in Wadsworth and was a founding member and president of Marian's Closet. She loved to sing and was a member of a barbershop quartet. In retirement she loved to travel, spend winters in Florida, play tennis, and attend as many of her grandchildren's sports activities as possible.

Nancy leaves behind many beloved family and friends, The Gourmet Group, The Sunday Bunch, and WBBC "You know who you are."

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Carolyn Hoenstine and Ora Mae Statler, and first husband, Jerry L. Friedt.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Hachat; sister, Maggie Smith; children, Deb Tavanello (Rick Shultz), Andrea Stabosz (Tom), and Justin Hachat (Sandy); grandchildren, Marah and Nick Tavanello, Tyler, Jon, and Danielle Zimmerly, and Tyler and Trent Hachat.

Family will receive friends Friday, August 30, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, 1376 High St., Wadsworth (one mile north of I-76 on Rt. 94) and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth. A memorial service will follow Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, with Rev. Jim Singleton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Nancy's name can be made to either the Nancy Friedt Hachat Nursing Scholarship Fund at Chase Bank or to Marian's Closet with a monetary or clothing donation.
