Norma Eileen Dash Obituary
Norma Eileen Dash, 86, while in the loving care of her family, passed on June 23, 2013 in the home of her daughter Lisa. She was born on February 13, 1927 in Muncie, Ind. to parents Denver Halbert and Geneva Lykins, both of whom preceded her in passing.

She was widowed early in life when husband William L. Hawk passed on leaving her and their two children. She later united with Walter M. Dash, father of her four stepchildren. He preceded her in passing as well, but not before fathering her additional three children. Also preceding her was step-daughter, Judy Dash who lived a wondrous life of love and free spiritedness.

She is survived by sister, Valeta Faulkner, sister, Wanda (Clyde) Pickering, sister, Donna (Bill) Fosnaugh, and brother, Ron (Mary Jane) Halbert. Surviving children are David (Jane) Dash, Pamela (Tim) Fulton, Marvin (Karen) Dash, William (Phyllis) Hawk, Tim (Vannessa) Dash, John Dash, Lisa (Jeff) Houck, and Denver (Erica) Dash. She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Eileen Dash, as she was known in the real estate business, arrived in Mogadore from Muncie, Indiana in 1963; from Mogadore she moved in 1969 to Coventry Twp. where she remained. For over forty years she worked with investors and homebuyers. Her passion was first-time buyers on limited or low incomes, especially single mothers for whose home purchases she would often donate part or all of her commission. She never knew a stranger because she believed they might be angels unaware and it was in her nature to invite into her home and life people in need. She believed in giving, even at times beyond her means, yet held to a philosophy that you can't out-give God. Even till the end she spent her time searching her soul for answers and trying to perfect "doing unto others what you would have them do unto you." We are sure she has perfected it now.

Send flowers to House of Eberhardt, 472 W. Turkey Foot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aseracare Hospice Foundation.
