Paul B. Goehler, 81, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013.
Born in Springfield Township, Ohio on February 18, 1932 to Mearle E. and Vada (nee Keck) Goehler; Paul was a graduate of Norton High School, he retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he served during the Korean Conflict, the Viet Nam Era and last with the 410th Military Police Squadron, where he was assigned as NCOIC Weapon System Security.
Paul retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company after 19 ½ years of service; he was employed at Sea World of Ohio, Stambaugh's Hardware, Ace Hardware and Walgreens. He was a member of Mogadore Moose and enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Music and spending time with family, his children, grandchildren; great-grandson and walking the dog, "Cody".
Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dale; Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia (nee Mason); sons, Tom (Karen), Daniel (Dee Dee) and John Goehler; grandchildren, Corly (Lia), Kane (Brittany), Logan, Brittany, Jessica, Stephanie, Nick and Alex; great-grandson, Sullivan; brothers, Melvin, Carl and Richard; sister, Janice (John) Gross; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Monday 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors conducted by Firestone VFW 3383. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m. and also 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.
