Paul P. Bentley|
Paul P. Bentley, 80, went home unexpectedly to be with the Lord and some family members on Friday, November 8, 2013.
Born in Pikeville, Kentucky on December 10, 1932, he lived in the Portage Lakes area, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Paul was a retired sheet metal worker for Sheet Metal Worker's Local #33. He loved gardening and hanging out with his friends.
He will be missed by all.
Preceded in death by his mother, Lydia (stepfather, Dorsey) Carr; father, William Bentley; brother, Howard Branham; step-son, Stephen "Bo" Bentley; and grandson, Timothy Ward; Paul is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Peggy Blancett, Suzanne Armsey and Wanda (Gary) Brandt; stepson, Samuel Bentley; grandchildren, Michael and Amanda Blancett, Johnny and Christopher (Molly) Long, Gary Jr. (Amanda) Brandt, Linda (James) Miller, Jessica (Kevin) Cassiday; stepgrandchildren, Dean Bentley and Samantha and Zack; also 11 great-grandchildren; along with other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linda Bentley.
