Ralph E. "Pete" Delaney|
Ralph E. "Pete" Delaney, 95, went to Heaven on his wedding anniversary April 13, 2014, into the loving arms of His Savior and wife of 66 years, Ruth "Betty" Delaney. Pete was a loving, wonderful father, who was kind, patient and generous and was truly an earthly example of our Heavenly Father.
Pete was born September 11, 1918 in Akron to the late Robert and Susie Delaney. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II and had retired from Superior Meats in 1982 after 34 years of service. Pete was an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and member of the Masons. He loved to fish, hunt, bowl, play golf and hike.
Ralph was preceded to glory by his daughter, Linda; son, Kenneth; grandson; Michael Delaney; and sister, Violet Beighey. He is survived by his sons, Ralph "Ed" Jr. (Betty) and David (Sue); daughters, Joyce (Mark) Lange and Pamela (John) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Linda (Walt) Dayton; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m., where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, at 10 a.m., Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating. Interment at Manchester Cemetery.
