Raymond Duane Brown, 77, joined friends and family in the presence of our Lord on March 31.
He was born in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, on Valentine's Day in 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
His life has been and will continue to be celebrated by his family and friends, including his wife of nearly 43 years, Jean; his two daughters, Julie (Denise) and Lisa (Tim); grandchildren, Dresden, Khi; sister, Doris (Bill) Thompson; mother-in-law, Belle Williams; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and three generations of nieces and nephews.
Duane will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit and his dry, quick-witted humor. We celebrate and rejoice as we are confident that we will be reunited with our much loved husband, father, grandfather and friend again one day in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers of Arden Courts of Bath and Summa Hospice. Your compassion and kindness are appreciated and will be remembered.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2 at Cox Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth (1 mile north of I-76 on Rt.94). The funeral service will be Thursday, April 3 at 10 a.m. at Freshwater Community Church, 185 Humbolt Avenue, Wadsworth, with calling hours one hour preceding.
