Robert B. Burcham, age 68, passed away August 19, 2013.
He was born September 12, 1944 in Lobelville, Tennessee. He was a member of Mount Akra Masonic Lodge No. 680, River Tree Christian Church, Mid Ohio Mopar Car Club, and N.O.P.B.A.
Robert retired from Akron Fire Department and Copley Police Department, and worked for Summit County Sheriff Department from 1979-1984. He served with the United States Army in Vietnam.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, Joseph; sister, Georgia Paulin, and Virgie Arnold; he is survived by wife of 30 years, Beth; children, Bobby, Krista, Scott (Rebecca), and Tracie (Dale); devoted niece, Nicole (Aaron); grandchildren, Shelby, Bobby, Logan, Ethan, and Luke; great-granddaughter, Aliyah; brothers, John, Harold (Sue), and James (Mitzie); sister-in-law, Mary Burcham; brother-in-law, Brian (Mary) Benz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton, Ohio, Pastor Al Dangelo officiating. Burial at Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home.
