Robert F. Addis "Bob/Papa", age 83, of Stow, entered into rest, June 29, 2013. |
Born January 3, 1930 to Charles B. and Margaret Addis, the middle-man of two sisters, Elaine (Ken) Lawrence of Moscow, Idaho both deceased, and Janet (Ed) Cloonan of Parma Hts.
Papa's loving wife, Evelyn (nee Deal) has been gone since 1/31/2004 and we can only believe they are once again at each other's side. He so missed her. They were Garfield H.S. 1948 sweethearts!
Bob Addis was self-employed sign painter all his life, working for his dad, Charles B. at The Addis Sign Company on Broadway Ave. in Cleveland since the age of 16. When Grandpa was no longer able, Bob ran the company. He was good at it, to say the least. As his girls, we will never forget the aroma of paint in the air as Dad hand-lettered trucks and vans in our driveway on weekends.
As his three daughters, Gayle (Tom) Michel of Chardon, Ohio, Amy L. Addis of Norton, Ohio, and Jayne (Rob) Clark of Bedford, Ohio we will forever miss our Dad and have since Alzheimer's began taking him from us many years ago. Also missing their Papa are his grandchildren, Matthew Zelesnik, Scott Zelesnik, Tracy (Chuck) Segall, Eric Kornell and Fiance' Wendy Hoskinson, and Robert (Flash) Clark; and great-grandchildren, Maggie and Shelby Segall and Jacob Zelesnik.
Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment at Crown Hill Mausoleum, Twinsburg, Ohio will be at the convenience of the family. As they planned, Dad will be placed in Niche #E-14 forever together with Mom. Please visit them when you can. Donations in Bob Addis' name may be made to the
