Thomas A. "Grandpa Hunny" Flickinger Obituary
"Grandpa Hunny"

On Friday, April 19, 2013 the world lost a great man when Tom Flickinger, 63, passed away peacefully at his home.

Tom will be forever missed by his best friend and lovely wife of 41 years, Jamie; sons, Aaron (Gabbi) and Jacob (fiancée Tina and her daughters Madison and Kaylee); granddaughters, Aislin and Hanna; mother, Ellen Tucker; sisters, Marie (Tim) Peterman, Bonnie Jenks, Marilyn Crenshaw, Jane (Keith) Lohr, Donna Sczepaniak and Jennie (Steve) Fossum; mother-in-law, Edith Laughlin; brother-in-law, Scott (Laura) Laughlin; sister-in-law, Barbara Rawson; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tom was a disabled veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. He was devoted to his wife, extremely proud of his sons, and he adored his beautiful granddaughters. Tom loved his country, his Harley, the 2nd Amendment, his faithful companion Zeke, and cookies. Lots and lots and LOTS of cookies.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Ross Slaughter officiating. The family requests casual dress and no flowers. If desired, memorials may be made in Tom's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
