Bader Jr.

Walter Robert "Jake" Bader Jr., 70, of Lexington Township, died Thursday morning at Aultman Hos pital in Canton.

Born Aug. 3, 1931, in Ak ron, he was the son of the late Walter Robert and Velda Idella (Spriggs) Bad er, and had lived in the Ak ron area all of his life. Mr. Bader had attended the New Hori zons Christian Church in Akron. Previously, he had volunteered with the athletic events at Southeast High School, and more recently had played baseball in the Akron Silver League. He retired following 37 1/2 years with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Akron, where he had worked in the plyofilm department.

Survivors include his wife of 51 1/2 years, Rosilyn A. (Porter) Bad er; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Tom Mathes of Akron; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Diane Bader of Diamond, Ohio; brothers, Jim and Harry Bader of Akron, Blair Bader of Graysville, Ohio, Larry Bader of Florida; uncle, Howard Bader of Akron; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wood-Kortright Funeral Home, Ra venna Chapel, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with Reverend Jeffrey Messner officiat ing. Entombment will be in the Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beloit, Ohio. (Wood-Kortright, Ravenna 330-296-6436.)
