Mrs. Wanda Delores Rexrode, 74, of Sugar Grove, West Virginia and formerly of Akron, Ohio died Friday, April 5, 2013 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.|
She was born January 12, 1939 at Cherry Grove, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Bob Raines and Nola Hinkle Raines.
She was a 1980 graduate of Akron School of Nursing, where she received her LPN degree. She faithfully attended St. John Lutheran Church, enjoyed flowers, gardening, fishing, being outdoors, caring for and helping people.
On March 14, 1956, she married Dolen G. Rexrode, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters , Bonetta (and husband, Bob) Guyette of Akron, Ohio, Kendra (and husband, Matt) Shriver of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Michael (and wife, Robin) Rexrode of Cherry Grove, W.Va., Sheldon (and wife, Christine) Rexrode of Akron, Ohio; ten grandchildren, one of whom she raised, Kaila Rexrode, Mattie and Kody Shriver, Sara, Cora and Sy Rexrode and Zachary, Kristy, Angelica and Tiffany Rexrode.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobbie Raines and Bernard Raines and one sister, Leah Belle Warner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church at Moyers, West Virginia with Pastors Jason and Jess Felici officiating. Burial will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin, West Virginia.
Friends may call at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin any time after 9 a.m. on Sunday. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kimble Funeral Home.
