Yvonne Murray was a very special lady and most of all a great christian. Always willing to help someone in need. A great musician. I had the priviledge of being in their home for six years as a teenager. Bro & Sis Murray were my parents for six years when I needed help. They treated me as a daughter. Because of them, I am what I am today. The last time I saw her was Dec. 2007. I loved her dearly!

I grew up at Lighthouse Tabernacle, and lived with Bro. & Sis. Murray while attending OBC right after I got out of high school. She was such an awesome example of what a Christian woman, loving wife, and perfect pastor's wife should be. I learned so many lessons while there. She taught me how to elegantly entertain and how to stretch a meal. My favorite times were when it was just the 3 of us for supper. Bro. Murray would give me "life lessons" and she would laugh and say, Oh, Clifford!". I have thought of her so often during the 30 years that I was a pastor's wife. Sometimes I even called for a recipe, or just to tell her that I got through a hard day because of something she taught me. This world is a better place because of Yvonne Murray!!

I knew Sis. Murray from a very young age attendinig then Bro. Delmar White's church in Akron. I remember when they left to go to Bible School ... we felt a terrible loss. I will always remember her being such a beautiful, classy, & dignified lady and woman of God. May God give you comfort in this time. My prayers are with the family!

I last visited Sister Murray Nov 2008. Spoke with her on her 94th last June.
I knew her from Buckeye Lake Campgrounds when the Murrays were leaders of the Youth Camp School.
I later attended Bible School at Lighthouse 3 years. Many friends of mine often suggested her style was an influence in my own.
It was albeit not intentional but rather by osmosis!
I repected them both so much.

When we moved to Massillon years ago Br. and Sis Murray made us feel so welcomed. Sis Murray and Mom played the piano and organ together. She was a loving and sweet person.

I will never forget Bro and Sis Murray. She was the first lady of Lighthouse tabernacle for so many years. Pauline, Mary, and I sang the theme on our churches weekly Sunday radio program. Those were wonderful times. She was an awesome lady and we'll miss her. But she's in a better place now.

My mother and father, Fred and Vera Kinzie, were great friends of the Murrarys down through the years. They visited them many times when they were in FL. I always enjoyed reading the letters she wrote to them. She was a special lady, a great pianist and will be missed! Sandy Jordan, Toledo, OH

What a wonderful example she was to so many of us who grew up at Lighthouse Tabernacle ,in Massillon, Ohio- where she and her husband were the founding pastors. I grew up singing, in the church, with my sisters (Borntrager) and Yvonne played the piano for us, and even at one point she played piano and organ , and we sang back-up for an evangelist who was recording an album. She , also, gave me advice in my effort to play the organ. She is a precious woman. I will think of her fondly.

A friend and neighbor for many years. She will certainly be missed.
Will miss her in our Kitchen Band, our Womans Card Party Luncheon, as well as our Red Hat group.
It was my pleasure to be her friend, may she rest in peace.
