William Bruce Mitchell, age 82, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Canton, Ohio. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on December 21, 1930 to William and Mary (Bruce) Mitchell. Bruce served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a national credit manager for General Tire. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, and watching his grandchildren play sports.|
He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving him is his wife, Joan (Ferragonio) Mitchell; children, Sandra (James) Ritz, William Bruce Mitchell Jr., Valerie (John) Holton, Kelly (Ted) Stefanov, Michael Mitchell (Thomas Neuts); grandchildren, Eddie, Ian, Eric, Jessie, Nick, Erin, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Madison, Trig, and Christian.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. A special thank you goes to Allay Senior Care and Grace Hospice from the family of Bruce. Just like Frank, Bruce did it "His Way."
