Berger

Glenn L. Berger, 78, passed away September 24, 2013. Born October 24, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a Korean Conflict Air Force veteran. John, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, owned and operated Berger Drain Service for over 50 years and was a member of the Uniontown Chapel of Faith. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed flea markets, car meets and was a regular at the Hershey, Pa. Swap meet.

John was preceded in death by his first wife, Deloris, in 1996; parents, Ross and Jean Berger; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Mary Berger; and stepson, Jimmy Scarff. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 17 years, Betty; son, Bob (Jackie) Berger; step- daughters, Lee (David) Hawkins and Bunny (John) Kenney; stepson, Jeff (Jhonna) Scarff; grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, and Brittany Berger, Mark, Melissa and Michael Trew, Ryan Schmitt, Tori Kenney and Josh Collett; great-grandchildren, Ariel Berger and Carter Trew. He also leaves his close friends, Harry Pixler, Chuck Zook; and many dear nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends; including his constant companion, Hooch.

Visitation Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown, where funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. with Pastor Jack Coontz officiating. Burial at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens where military services will be conducted by Firestone VFW Post 3383. For those wishing, memorials may be made in his name to the Uniontown Chapel of Faith, 13141 Church St., Uniontown, OH 44685.
