NORTON -- Jack E. Witner, 86, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014.
A resident of Norton for 60 years, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Jack was a retired Pharmacist and an active member of Barberton First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of Barberton Kiwanis and served as treasurer for the Salvation Army.
Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Isabelle; Jack is survived by his children, John (Debby), Nancy (Robin) Wendt, Tom (Andrea) and Lee (Debora); grandchildren, Heidi Wendt, Ian and Aaron Witner, Gabrielle, Alexander and Chelsea Witner; several great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Janet) Witner; along with numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Barberton First Presbyterian Church, 636 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Richard Lapehn officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 and also one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
