Suanne W. Crowley

"The Story of a Princess"

Suanne W. Crowley, who gracefully charmed hundreds of lives, was called to the bosom of her Lord, Jesus, February 19, 2014.

She first dazzled the world on Valentine's Day 1936, in Henderson, Ky. Her many talents included dancing and singing, winning a scholarship to Christian College in Columbia, Mo. where she was elected vice-president of her 1955 junior class. As a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, she was chosen Orchid Ball Queen in 1956. Suanne graduated from Missouri University with bachelors in communications. Continuing her education at the University of Akron, she earned a masters degree in theatre. Weathervane Theatre of Akron presented Suanne with a best actress award. Partnering with her husband Robert, Suanne founded the Fisherpeople Drama Ministry, based at their church, St. Luke's Anglican in Copley, Ohio. The troupe performed in the U.S. and Mexico; spreading the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Barnabas Ensemble, welcomed Suanne and Bob into their performing group and ministered in Brazil, the summer of 1998, playing in town squares, schools, TV studios, and on the radio across the nation, ending in Rio. The L.I.O.N. Players were another of their talents, performing at the winter olympics in Salt Lake City, then in Russia, and the Ukraine. Catholic Relief Services invited Suanne and her husband to the Holy Land to form a performing group in Bethlehem, Palestinian Territory. The troupe performed at Bethlehem University and at various churches in the area for a month. Suanne always adored her family, including her son, Stephen Soell of Morrison, Co.; daughter, Susan Carrington of Frisco, Texas; and five grandchildren.

A grand, joyful celebration of Suanne's life is scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2014, 7 p.m., at St. Thomas Orthodox Church, 555 N. Cleve. Mass. Rd., Copley, OH.
