Frances C. Lasser (nee Clark)|
Frances C. Lasser (nee Clark) a lifelong Akron resident, passed away March 7, 2014.
She was the devoted wife of the late William "Bill" Lasser; loving mother of Jil Maletich and Tom (Barb) Lasser; a dear grandmother "granny" of Scott (Jenny) Anderson, Raymond Lasser, Kari (Todd) Andrukat and Laura Lasser; and she was a proud great-grandmother of nine. Frances also leaves behind two brothers, Ivan and Ralph Clark.
Frances was an active longtime member of New Covenant Community Church and the Akron Woman's City Club, she enjoyed volunteering at Rockynol Retirement Community for years prior to becoming a resident. A three mile-a-day mall walker, Frances led an active lifestyle enjoying activities with her many friends such as weekly card games and traveling the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Deforest and Gladys Clark and sisters, Ruth, Vera, and Julia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 1 p.m. at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME, 3653 West Market St., Fairlawn, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to funeral services. Chaplain Diane Walker of Rockynol Retirement Community will be officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Frances' name to Rockynol Retirement Community, 1150 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44313.
