Barbara A. Cones (Harp)|
Barbara A. Cones (Harp), 63, passed away peacefully on March 14th, 2014 after a long illness.
Born June 16, 1950 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Ellet High School in 1968. After completing her RN nurses training, Barb worked for Summa Hospital for 35 years. She retired in 2005 after 29 years on surgical floors and six years at Cooper Cancer Center where she continued to volunteer every Monday.
Barb was a very gentle, loving, compassionate and caring lady who would always help anyone in need. For many years, she crocheted baby blankets for Project Linus. She loved horses and rode whenever possible. She enjoyed traveling the U.S., visiting area zoos, playing golf, reading, cooking, and going to movies. Most of all, she cherished spending time with family and friends with whom she enjoyed trying out new recipes. Barb was a huge OSU Buckeye fan.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Juanita Harp; and brother, Raymond Harp, Jr. She is survived by husband, Robert Cones; son, Joshua (Jayann) Haasz; daughters, Kathy (Tommy) Cameron and Patty (Alfred) Restaino; sisters, Linda (Gary) Engle and Joyce (Jim) Moss; brother-in-law, William (Joan) Cones; seven grandchildren; numerous other relatives and personal friends.
