WOOSTER -- Joseph D. Magyar, age 46, passed away on March 18, 2014.

He was born on September 4, 1967 in Barberton to Joseph and Carolyn (Haught) Magyar. A 1985 graduate of Smithville High School, he was employed by Maxwell Towing. He was a member of Sons of American Legion and the Wayne County Saddle Club. Joe loved to ride and spend time with the horses at the rodeos. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was fascinated by Native American history.

Preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Sonny" Magyar; brother, Charles; grandchildren, Kory and Astrid; he is survived by his wife of eight years, Pam; children, Joseph "Cory" (Leah) Magyar of Massillon, Jonathan "Jon" Magyar, Samantha Miley, and Ashley (Bill) Spooner, all of Wooster; grandchildren, David, Lily, Jackson, Cadence and Leeland; mother, Carolyn Magyar of Orrville; sister, Terry Conrad of Orrville; other family and friends.

He was a friend to everyone and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230, with Pastor John Copus officiating. Burial to take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may call Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of service.
