DOYLESTOWN -- Ralph C. Williams, age 94, passed away on March 27, 2014.

He was born on October 5, 1919 in Congress Twp., to Ray and Musa (Snoddy) Williams. A resident of Wadsworth, previously of Doylestown, Ralph was retired from Con-Valve (originally Ohio Injector). He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. A life member and past post commander and financial officer of the Doylestown American Legion Post 407, he was also a member of 40 and 8, and the Wadsworth United Methodist Church. Ralph was a big sports fan who loved the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deloris "Eileen"; second wife, Bernice; brothers, Charles and Irvin; daughter in-law, Shirley Williams; he is survived by his children, Ron (Mary) Williams of Marshallville, Deloris (Michael) Slevin of Rittman, Cheryl (Hugh) Masters of Wadsworth; step children, Dave (Kate) Everhard, Beth (Denny) Zito, Jan (Jim) Basista, Judy (Mark) Welty; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, with Pastor Don Ebert, officiating. Interment with military honors to take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a .
