Madalyn C. Pastor Obituary
Madalyn C. Pastor

Madalyn C. Pastor, 65, of Norton, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 14th after having been diagnosed with multiple myeloma last October.

She was born to Vincent "Jim" Caruso (deceased) and Christine Caruso on September 10th, 1948 in Akron, Ohio. Maddy graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1966. She married Louis Pastor in 1972 and together they settled in Norton.

Maddy was preceded in death by Vincent Caruso (father), Nicholas Caruso (brother) and Marianne Wamsley (sister).

Maddy is survived by her husband, Louis; their two sons, Stephen Pastor and Richard Pastor; three grandchildren, Jordan Pastor (fiancé, Ryan Traub), Joshua Pastor, Logan Pastor; and mother, Christine Caruso. She is a loving aunt to Kristy Wamsley and David Wamsley.

After marrying Louis Pastor, Maddy settled comfortably into the role of mother and homemaker. She absolutely loved to cook. Friends and family alike will attest to her generous spirit, kind thoughtfulness and gargantuan dinner portions. Those who have had the privilege to be counted among her friends share a deep respect for her talent and prowess in the kitchen as well as a unanimous, abiding love for this tenderhearted woman.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the nurses and staff at Summa Barberton Hospital, especially the caregivers of One East, along with the team in Palliative and Hospice care. Sincere thanks are also extended to the Saber Rehab staff for their loving and professional treatment. Lastly, Louis would like to publicly thank his dear friends, Polly and Barry Greathouse, for their unending support and loving attention during this time. They have literally lived the definition of friendship.

Commensurate with Maddy's final wishes, a private memorial service will take place at Bacher Funeral Home. The Pastor family condolence book is available at the funeral home website.
