We are proud to have called Al McCowin our dad. He was a caring, kind, loving man who loved his home and family. Dad's creative and artistic talents were evident in every aspect of his life from his home to his work at the Akron Beacon Journal where he was a Retail Advertising Salesman for 40 years.
He will be missed by his children, Shelley Mack, Lorie Ishmael, and David McCowin; and his grandsons, Al Mack and his wife Emily (Rosenthal), Ben Mack and Louis Mack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Martha McCowin; his brothers, Richard McCowin and Donald McCowin; and good friend Phil Long. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as his good friend, Bill Heising.
Dad will be remembered by family and friends on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Northlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 441 State Road Cuyahoga Falls.
